The F-35B is the short take-off and vertical landing variant of the Lightning II, and this build captures its faceted stealth geometry and swivelling rear nozzle. The lift-fan bay opens for hover mode, and the included stand and runway base let you display the jet mid-transition.
Fully compatible with LEGO® bricks, this set offers endless opportunities for customisation. It is a unique and exciting gift for any brick enthusiast looking for their next big project. Once built, it will be an eye-catching centrepiece in any diorama or impressive on its own as a display at home.
The panel fit is superb and the camouflage pattern is spot on. Took me two evenings with a cup of tea and the instructions never once left me guessing. It sits on the shelf above my desk now.

I collect scale armour and the proportions here are far closer to the real thing than anything else in brick form. The interior detail was a lovely surprise.

The running gear takes patience and I redid one section twice, but the finished model is rock solid. Spare pieces were a nice touch. Shipping took three days.

Packaging was excellent and every bag was numbered. My partner has already asked for the next set in the range, so I suspect I will be back.
