• The Founder
The Scientist Behind The Bricks
Buildarmy was founded by Dr. Ruibin Zhang, a lifelong LEGO® MOC fan and enthusiast in WW2 movies and vehicles. Before Buildarmy began, Ruibin worked at the University of Sheffield as a scientific researcher in Materials Science, studying soft matter such as polymers and liquid crystals.
One of his favourite ways to relax was recreating Second World War vehicles in LEGO bricks. During overnight synchrotron X-ray experiments, he spent the long waiting periods designing virtual models in LEGO® Digital Designer — and that habit became a company.

• The Process
From Blueprint To Brick
Each Buildarmy model begins with original blueprints. We convert the real vehicle's dimensions into our chosen scale, then translate its length, width, height, wheelbase, turret size and key angles into the brick system. Advanced SNOT building techniques and engineered internal structures let us recreate complex shapes, smooth surfaces and accurate armour angles that stacking alone can never reach.
Research
Original blueprints, museum visits and archive photography set the true dimensions of the vehicle.
Digital Design
The model is engineered in LEGO® Digital Designer and Studio 2.0, scaled and stress-tested part by part.
Prototype
A physical first build proves the internal frame, the SNOT surfaces and the strength of every moving section.
Pack & Ship
Kits are weighed on an electronic balance, bagged with spare small parts and sent out worldwide.
